Posted by John Gall on

As the summer of 2025 approaches, anticipation is building for the upcoming AA International Convention to be held in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. This event will bring together members of Alcoholics Anonymous from around the world to celebrate sobriety, share their experiences, and strengthen their recovery.
The convention is set to take place over the course of a weekend in late July, with events kicking off on Friday morning with the opening ceremony. Members from over 50 countries are expected to attend, making it one of the largest AA conventions in recent history.
Throughout the weekend, attendees will have the opportunity to participate in workshops, speaker meetings, and other recovery-oriented activities. There will also be time for fellowship and socializing with other members, both from one's own country and from other parts of the world.

One of the highlights of the convention is the Saturday evening speaker meeting, which will feature a keynote address from a prominent AA member. Past conventions have seen speeches from well-known figures such as Bill W., co-founder of AA, and other influential members who have shared their experience, strength, and hope with the audience.
In addition to the planned events, attendees will also have the chance to explore the beautiful city of Vancouver and its surroundings. From the stunning natural beauty of Stanley Park to the vibrant nightlife of Granville Street, there was no shortage of things to see and do.
But for many attendees, the real highlight of the convention is the chance to connect with other members of AA from around the world. Whether sharing stories of struggle and triumph or simply bonding over shared experiences, these connections could provide a sense of community and support that was essential to maintaining long-term sobriety.
